ADVISORY COUNCIL of the European project Age Against the Machine

Members of the advisory council will join all the European partners’ performances at the Festival Age Against the Machine – Évora (12-14 June 2025). The advisory members will actively take part in workshops, questionnaires, debates and interactive parts of the performances at the Festival in Évora (PT).

The Festival Age Against the Machine in Évora will gather performances from five project partners (Serbia, Denmark, Italy, Poland, and Portugal). All of them will tackle prejudice themes related to ageism and social inequalities experienced by older citizens in Europe. The intergenerational groups that will perform at the Festival were involved in theatre laboratories using processes of co-creation, participation and artistic activism in order to develop the final dramaturgic work. All the performances touch on different topics related to existing discriminatory practices targeting older citizens’ revindications in various areas of their social, political and cultural lives. Our goal is to rethink critically existing European laws and policies relating to older populations and promote equality and human rights as core EU values.
