Workshops

Session 1 | April 4, 2024

The awakening of spring: Discover the meaning of “awakening” and “reborn” in a different, energetic and challenging physical reality, as when we were young in a spring located in time and space, travelling through the memory of each participant.

Session 2 | April 17, 2024

A happy memory of youth: We want to go deeper and get to know ourselves better. Share and present who we are through our history and a happy memory of youth, thus understanding our family, geographic and cultural contexts.

Session 3 | April 24, 2024

The Walking Trees: We feel the body as a tool of performative expression, uniting and integrating body, movement and emotion. We understand that there is an individual body and that this body dialogues with a collective body.

Session 4 | May 8, 2024

Listening is caring: A performative journey to surprise us and create intimacy. On this journey, we learn about the participants' hobbies and artistic skills, memories, family, interests and past professions.

Experiment 1 | May 13, 2024

Dance and movement in public space: Exploration of care practices, tree bathing and the body's responses to the surrounding architecture and the urban landscape of the historic centre of Évora, on an itinerary through the urban spaces of Jardim de Diana, the Roman Temple, the Vimioso Palace and the Court of Évora.

Session 5 | May 15, 2024

The advice that life gives us: Sharing opinions on the concept of caring and its impact on the lives of participants: from caring for others and the family, taking care of themselves, letting oneself be taken care of, the abuse of caring and caring too much.

Session 6 | May 22, 2024

A train journey: Theatrical improvisation and simulation of fictional situations, where the train journey allows us to discover stories from the past and a personal interpretation of these memories.

Session 7 | May 29, 2024

A family day: Improvisation of everyday situations that develop over time. Creating three different scenic frames allows you to create instant actions and reactions to proposed situations, combining personal experiences with fictional situations.

Session 8 | June 5, 2024

Bread, wine and olive oil: Recreating actions in the rural context and in field work using movement mimesis. We started building group choreographies, introducing rhythmic elements collectively.

Session 9 | June 12, 2024

Listening to the other: Active listening by the participants, an essential characteristic that involves emotional exploration, the body and tone of voice, which do not need to correspond to the imitation of the words spoken – this contradiction brings richness to the meanings projected in the theatrical game.

Session 10 | June 19, 2024

Dramaturgical Proposal - Costumes: Dress in clothes that symbolize different periods of your life and observe the change in body language, revealing more unrestrained movements and postures bringing them to other historical times.

Session 11 | June 26, 2024

Dramaturgical Proposal – Construction of three paintings: Dramaturgical construction of the thief scene, which symbolically refers to the vulnerability of elderly people and their fears. Next, we worked on the tea framework, which is based on the concept of forgiveness and unconditional care.
